<You touch the small white crystal and you can hear faint sounds on the wind. This is an audio recording of some sort.> "On The Windlord."

As the empire grew and expanded into new lands, the young magicians also spread out into the southlands. Wielding their mystical powers, the magicians protected their brethren from the wild creatures of the land and made it possible for new city-states to be constructed in the wilderness. Yet, as their powers grew, the magicians became ever more conceited and isolated from the rest of society.

Director Riddlevox put me in charge of the Union's shredder development program. Few months on the job and I'm already in hot water! I could use your help, adventurer!

The original hundred magi, who were tutored in the ways of magic by the elves, expanded their powers and studied the mystic disciplines of spell-weaving in much greater detail. These magi, initially chosen for their strong wills and noble spirits, had always practiced their magic with care and responsibility; however, they passed their secrets and powers onto a newer generation that had no concept of the rigors of war or the necessity for self-restraint.

All of the skyborne islands became destabilized and began to move apart a few years ago. If that wasn't bad enough, now large pieces of Zephras are beginning to fall away. It's hard to imagine your home falling into the sky, but that is my reality now.

they would have life eternal, and have naught to fear from the Sundering that was to come...

The citizens of Dalaran tolerated the magicians' endeavors and built up a bustling economy under the protection of their magic-using defenders. Yet, as more and more magicians practiced their arts, the fabric of reality around Dalaran began to weaken and tear.

The second Arathorian city-state of Dalaran was founded in the lands north of Strom. Many fledgling wizards left the restraining confines of Strom behind and traveled to Dalaran, where they hoped to use their new powers with greater freedom. These magicians used their skills to build up the enchanted spires of Dalaran and reveled in the pursuit of their studies.

Mmm, I think you are going to like what I can cook up with these acorns!

The human society of Arathor grew and prospered, yet Thoradin, fearful that his kingdom would splinter apart if it overextended itself, maintained that Strom was the center of the Arathorian empire. After many peaceful years of growth and commerce, mighty Thoradin died of old age, leaving Arathor's younger generation free to expand the empire beyond the lands of Strom.

Friend - Stormwind needs your assistance and your generosity! Our once large stockpile of textiles has run critically low. Stormwind is now engaged in a multi-pronged effort to rebuild those stocks for the manufacture of textiles and bandages! Your donation of cloth would help Stormwind immensely, as well as earn the respect of the citizenry!

Though the rebellion had been quelled, the Horde was unable to recoup the terrible losses it had suffered. Gul'dan's betrayal had afforded the Alliance not only hope, but also time to regroup and retaliate.

I hope that your interruption is for a good cause, I was in the middle of some important work.

Cirrusflies aren't to be underestimated. They might not seem dangerous, but you have to watch out for the bigger ones. The bigger they are, the meaner!

<Lotheluum wears a look of genuine terror as you recount the events from the druid den.> I--I'm sorry, adventurer. I need just a moment. There are no words I possess that can describe the loss. This is grave news indeed. If this missive is not fabricated, then we indeed have at best an accomplice and at worst a traitor here in Valanaar. I will take this to the High Elder immediately! I will not let my fellows sacrifice be in vain.

I can teach you to craft fine leather armor, if you have the aptitude.

Greetings, traveler.

adventurer, I've come to find out how rampant the effects of Fel Moss are throughout Darkshore. The corruption of Teldrassil and our surrounding lands really concerns the druids of the Cenarian Circle, and all Night elves. It is my goal to find out why this has happened and to put an end to it.

Where is it ye would like to go lad? For just a few coin my Gryphons can get ye there faster than even the swiftest horse.

Let's see here. Roy's Book Club, isn't it? I recognize this wrap technique. Well, if he says this is what people want to talk about, it's all fine by me. The material we receive back is always in as good of quality as we loaned it, so we know they're treating it with respect regardless of how provoking the words may be.

Lord Lothar rallied the remnants of Azeroth's armies after their defeat at Stormwind Keep, and then launched a massive exodus across the sea to the northern kingdom of Lordaeron. Convinced that the Horde would overcome all of humanity if left unchecked, the leaders of the seven human nations met and agreed to unite in what would become known as the Alliance of Lordaeron.

Eh? I don't have time ta chat, my da' wants me ta finish this order fer him.

What do ye need, citizen?

...pan fried, deep fried, and stir fried...

Monty be me name an' rats be me game.

Hail friend - a moment of your time, if I may... We have endured much in our trials and tribulations in establishing Teldrassil. Were the constant strife of the times not enough, we now find ourselves in a dire shortage of cloth. If you have the materials to spare, I ask that you please donate them. You certainly would earn the gratitude of night elves everywhere in helping us out!

It is not yet your time. I shall aid your journey back to the realm of the living... for a price.

You have returned. What news comes from Stormwind?

To maintain our link to the mainland, we have hippogryphs constantly flying between Rut'theran Village and Darkshore.

The skycutters and ferries haven't run in years at this point. For all we know, there are no other islands left for us to get imports from. Still though, I'm here... just in case.

You'll find no finer rat kabob this side of Khaz Modan!

So ye see now, mage? Thick as cockroaches they are, and that's just the ones we can see from the sky. Ye look like a sturdy enough sort. How's about a bit o' violence?

Welcome to SI:7 headquarters, adventurer.

What have you brought from the depths, mage.

We are currently accepting donations for wool cloth. A donation of sixty pieces of wool cloth will net you full recognition by the Gnomeregan Exiles for your generous actions. Our stores are such on wool that we would only need sixty pieces from you total; we should be able to acquire enough from others in the realm to support our drive. If you have the sixty pieces of wool cloth on you and are ready to donate them, I'm able to take them from you now.

Welcome to the Calmbreeze Inn, traveler. Would you like some refreshment?

Where are you going? Well if you're looking to get there quickly, then look no further!

If you've come looking for the finest craftsmanship on this or any other continent in the world, then you've come to the right place! Grimand Elmore, at your service!

Which profession trainer would ye be looking for?

Judging by this map, it certainly looks like these Dark Irons are planning some sort of incursion into the vaults beneath Ironforge. The band ye busted up to the east must be a scouting force. Thank ye for bringing me this. If we hurry, we might be able to beat them to whatever their goal is down there.

Are you a student of the medical sciences?

I might be the only living shen'dorei left amongst our people who had more than a handful of words with him. I served him as the captain of his Empyrean Blades for nearly nine centuries, right up until... he left us. Even still, I can't rightly claim that I "knew" him. He was ever a reserved and solitary man. He spent most of his time alone or in communion with the spirits in the spires high above the Shrine of the Four Winds... the place that the cult now calls the 'Shrine of Akir'.

What do you need directions to?

After you've become acquainted with the other leaders of the alliance, Lord Fordragon has requested that you report back to him here in the keep. I wish you good fortune in your journeys, Skyborne.

Just browsing my wares or is there something specific I can help you find today?

Oh what's this, then?

The Council of Silvermoon, which ruled over the elves of Quel'Thalas, entered into a secret pact with the Magocrat lords of Dalaran. The elves told the Magocrats about the history of ancient Kalimdor and of the Burning Legion, a history which still threatened the world. They informed the humans that so long as they used magic, they would need to protect their citizenry from the malicious agents of the Legion.

Weakened, but determined to save his master, Arthas reached Northrend only to find Illidan's naga and blood elves waiting for him. He and his nerubian allies raced against Illidan's forces to reach the Icecrown Glacier and defend the Frozen Throne.
