Speakstone collects quest text, gossip and books that World of Warcraft only ever sends at runtime — none of it is in the client database, so it can't be datamined, only captured by someone playing. It's turned into voiceovers similar to each NPC's own in-game voice, and shipped in the SpeakStone Narration addon.
The text, the NPC it came from, the game build, and an optional nickname. Your character name is stripped by the addon before anything is written, so it never reaches this site. Uploader IPs are stored only as a salted hash. Raw uploads are deleted after 30 days.
Anyone can report a problem with a quest's text or audio — a description, an optional player name, an optional screenshot (stored privately, never public), and a hashed IP.
A voice donation is a recording you send in to help build the addon's voices. It's free and tied to an account (email sign-in only) so a withdrawal request can be matched to the right recording. A human listens to every recording before it's used; a bad take gets sent back for another. Withdrawing removes the recording and stops new clips being made from it, but can't recall clips already distributed. Donated voices are used only in this non-commercial, unofficial addon.
Uploading text that's already held isn't wasted — a second independent capture of the same text is what promotes a passage from single-source to confirmed.
