The Council of Silvermoon, which ruled over the elves of Quel'Thalas, entered into a secret pact with the Magocrat lords of Dalaran. The elves told the Magocrats about the history of ancient Kalimdor and of the Burning Legion, a history which still threatened the world. They informed the humans that so long as they used magic, they would need to protect their citizenry from the malicious agents of the Legion.

Oh what's this, then?

<You touch the small white crystal and you can hear faint sounds on the wind. This is an audio recording of some sort.> "On The Windlord."

"Of late, the magisters of the High Order have grown increasingly wary of the wind spirits' motives, insisting that all powers and perils native to this realm must be better understood. Even if such dangers lie far from us now, the magisters maintain that such knowledge will better prepare us to face whatever may yet come."

If anyone finds this, please, do your best to stop them. There were only a few left at the tower when I scribbled this note and crawled away. Also, try and get Raani's lucky feather from his body. He liked to tell tall tales about how he plucked it from some kind of firebird and I think he'd want to make sure that it made it's way back home. If you are also able to retrieve Arvensus Shadowsong's family signet from his body, please do so. High Elder Shadowsong is his uncle and he would want it to be returned to the family.

I hope that your interruption is for a good cause, I was in the middle of some important work.

Judging by this map, it certainly looks like these Dark Irons are planning some sort of incursion into the vaults beneath Ironforge. The band ye busted up to the east must be a scouting force. Thank ye for bringing me this. If we hurry, we might be able to beat them to whatever their goal is down there.

If you need training as a cook, I have a few tips and tricks I could pass on! Ho ho! Throw on an apron and let's get started!

So ye see now, mage? Thick as cockroaches they are, and that's just the ones we can see from the sky. Ye look like a sturdy enough sort. How's about a bit o' violence?

What do ye need, citizen?

"Who is Al'Akir the Windlord? The priests of the radical Al'Aketh would have us believe him to be the true ruler of Skywall, the realm we now call home. In their telling, we are but interlopers here, and one day Al'Akir shall appear before us to reckon with our trespass into his dominion within the elemental plane. Though such claims may at first seem the ravings of the misguided or the mad, there may yet be some measure of truth in them. When asked of Al'Akir's nature, the wind spirits grow evasive and agitated. Indeed, even the mere speaking of the so-called "Windlord's" name appears to cause them profound unease, perhaps even fear."

Friend - Stormwind needs your assistance and your generosity! Our once large stockpile of textiles has run critically low. Stormwind is now engaged in a multi-pronged effort to rebuild those stocks for the manufacture of textiles and bandages! Your donation of cloth would help Stormwind immensely, as well as earn the respect of the citizenry!

Where would you like to fly to?

The Windfield Orchard has seen better days...

"Whatever the truth may be, our benefactors clearly have no wish to speak of Al'Akir or his servants, and they are quick to dismiss all rumors of the Windlord's presence as idle fancy, unworthy of serious heed. They assure us that we need not trouble ourselves with such matters here, safe upon our Skyborne Isles. While this offers solemn comfort to many, it also raises a troubling question: what, precisely, are the wind spirits concealing from us?"

What do you need directions to?

The clothcraft of the Shen'dorei is a harmonious imitation of the flowing, carefree currents of the winds. While the spirits have left us, and I know not when I may see them dance once more... I find great comfort in my art, if only as a distraction. I can teach you to work the cloth as well, if you'd like to learn?

Eh? I don't have time ta chat, my da' wants me ta finish this order fer him.

Hi there. I'm Gubber Blump.

You have returned. What news comes from Stormwind?

Are you a student of the medical sciences?

If you've come looking for the finest craftsmanship on this or any other continent in the world, then you've come to the right place! Grimand Elmore, at your service!

I sell only the finest arcane gear, made by the crafters and mages here in the city of Stormwind.

Where are you going? Well if you're looking to get there quickly, then look no further!

Just browsing my wares or is there something specific I can help you find today?

What have you brought from the depths, mage.

I can teach you to craft fine leather armor, if you have the aptitude.

The skycutters and ferries haven't run in years at this point. For all we know, there are no other islands left for us to get imports from. Still though, I'm here... just in case.

...pan fried, deep fried, and stir fried...

Monty be me name an' rats be me game.

Welcome to my Inn, weary traveler. What can I do for you?

I hope that your interruption is for a good cause, I was in the middle of some important work.

<Valennia is severely wounded and is barely holding on to consciousness.>

Our kind are rare these days, but there are those who still dream in emerald amongst the Shen'dorei.

Where is it ye would like to go lad? For just a few coin my Gryphons can get ye there faster than even the swiftest horse.

The roiling cloud of living lightning before you seems to crackle menacingly as you approach. It might be best to leave. Quickly.

<Constable Aonda wears an intense look on her face, clearly deep in thought.>

Welcome to the Calmbreeze Inn, traveler. Would you like some refreshment?

To maintain our link to the mainland, we have hippogryphs constantly flying between Rut'theran Village and Darkshore.

Good day to you.

You touch the small white crystal and you can hear faint sounds on the wind. This is an audio recording of some sort. "The Rebellion in Eldre'Thalas, Part 1"

We are currently accepting donations for wool cloth. A donation of sixty pieces of wool cloth will net you full recognition by the Gnomeregan Exiles for your generous actions. Our stores are such on wool that we would only need sixty pieces from you total; we should be able to acquire enough from others in the realm to support our drive. If you have the sixty pieces of wool cloth on you and are ready to donate them, I'm able to take them from you now.

The original hundred magi, who were tutored in the ways of magic by the elves, expanded their powers and studied the mystic disciplines of spell-weaving in much greater detail. These magi, initially chosen for their strong wills and noble spirits, had always practiced their magic with care and responsibility; however, they passed their secrets and powers onto a newer generation that had no concept of the rigors of war or the necessity for self-restraint.

Though the rebellion had been quelled, the Horde was unable to recoup the terrible losses it had suffered. Gul'dan's betrayal had afforded the Alliance not only hope, but also time to regroup and retaliate.

Let's see here. Roy's Book Club, isn't it? I recognize this wrap technique. Well, if he says this is what people want to talk about, it's all fine by me. The material we receive back is always in as good of quality as we loaned it, so we know they're treating it with respect regardless of how provoking the words may be.

Lord Lothar rallied the remnants of Azeroth's armies after their defeat at Stormwind Keep, and then launched a massive exodus across the sea to the northern kingdom of Lordaeron. Convinced that the Horde would overcome all of humanity if left unchecked, the leaders of the seven human nations met and agreed to unite in what would become known as the Alliance of Lordaeron.

Greetings.

Interesting, interesting... I know of a druid that lives atop the hill above the Wailing Caverns, adventurer. She might be able to tell you more about this shard you have found. Now, I must get back to work!

<Lotheluum wears a look of genuine terror as you recount the events from the druid den.> I--I'm sorry, adventurer. I need just a moment. There are no words I possess that can describe the loss. This is grave news indeed. If this missive is not fabricated, then we indeed have at best an accomplice and at worst a traitor here in Valanaar. I will take this to the High Elder immediately! I will not let my fellows sacrifice be in vain.

Greetings, hero. Do you come seeking the blessings of the Windlord?
