"Magic is our birthright. Our people have plumbed the secrets of the arcane since the dawn of our race. And yet, in the wake of our empires collapse, at a time when magical knowledge and understanding should be our only way to prevent such calamity from happening again... our kin shuns this sacred responsibility. So it falls to us, to discover, learn and safeguard ourselves against the magical powers of this world. May we understand and wield what we find with mastery and responsibility." - Dath'remar Sunstrider, revealing the Omnium to his people.

Oh, hey there! I've been waiting for someone to come along! Lorewalker Cho told me to sit here and tell stories to anyone who would listen, as a part of my apprenticeship to be a Lorewalker. I thought maybe he was pranking me, but here you are! Would you like to hear a story?

Thank you for choosing the Bank of Silvermoon. What may I do for you today?

The final page of this journal is splotched and stained as if it were written under the soft patter of rain, the handwriting frantic and rushed. It was my fault Lirath I am so, so sorry I should never have listened, I should never have trained you I should never have indulged your wish Your music brought me nothing but joy and I let you throw it away and I let you try the impossible and now I will never hear it again I will never hear you again I will never, ever forgive myself Ever

She wants nothing more than to dictate my future for me. Why must I cleave my fate to whatever mother wishes? I'm not alone. There are others that feel the same. Quel'Thalas is beautiful, but it is only the smallest part of what's out there. My friends, my confidants... we only wish to fly as free as the arrows from our quivers. The world is so much larger than just these forests. Is that so hard to see? Is it so impossible to believe that anyone would wish to experience more of it?

A torn page rests here. Instead of a diary or journal, it appears to be a piece of sheet music, unfinished. There's an almost wistful undertone to the tune as you hum it to yourself--it's half an ode to strength, cleverness and battle prowess, while the other half seems a yearning for the same.

Archmage Y'mera appears to be lost in thought as she traces arcane runes through the air.

Ah, adventurer! We meet again! Is Riftblade Maella's strike force heading out? We stand at the ready.

Welcome to the Bank of Silvermoon, sir. Would you care to access the depository?

I would like some soup.

I'm craving a pretzel.

I am ready to order.

These weak minded fools are beginning to bore me, but I will persist as is socially expected. Where did that waiter go? I need a drink for this.

Always looking for work, if there's work to be had. And it seems you've done your part, so now we'll do ours. Just say the word, and I'll put the boys to the task.

Unfortunately, I don't think you're quite ready for an upgrade. It's important to really get to know a house before you go making big changes. When you're truly ready to take things to the next level, we'll be here ready to make sure everything is plumb... and level.

Hello, my friend. You looking for something rare? My friends and I, we travel. We bring you the fruits of those travels.

I hope you didn't come alone. The host is pulling reinforcements from the Void faster than we can kill them. If we let this turn into a battle of attrition, we've already lost. Fortunately, their Summoning Pylons are fragile. Shatter them and send their forces back to the Void. Take my cloak, it will help you get close, maybe even get the drop on some of these fiends.

I heard the ghost of Dar'Khan was spotted in the library! Is that true? Did he really try to blow up the Omnium?

How may I help you?

According to Veldharin, the first Seekers of Knowledge investigated the dark presence our ancestors felt in Tirisfal. No one knows specifically what they found, but apparently only a few of them returned with their minds intact. Whatever they saw or found was enough for Dath'Remar to outlaw void magic. Do you think Umbric has peered into it? Do you think we'll be allowed to?

I don't blame the Grand Magister for exiling those who followed Umbric. But I'll never forget the stares or the hatred in their faces. Years later, and some still bear the same expression... Isn't the pursuit of knowledge the entire point of this place?

It feels good to freely roam the Terrace again after all these years, despite the disapproval of some of the others. They can glower and frown all they want. It's not like we're going to exile them for expressing a difference of opinion...

Welcome to the Lycaneum! You stand in the presence of boundless knowledge and infinite magical potential! I, of course, mean the Sunstrider Omnium. I am but its mere keeper, here to answer and guide all young Magisters in their magical, academic journey. If you have any questions, you but simply have to ask.

Well, when I insisted on asking a question, I meant about the Omnium, not about myself. But if you're so interested... I am Custodian Veldharin, appointed as Keeper of Knowledge by Grand Magister... er... who was it again? Grand Magister Mo--no, it wasn't her. Uh... well, regardless. Several Grand Magisters ago. I've clearly lost count. After the Second War, I was... encouraged to retire. Apparently, Anasterian wanted me to "enjoy the many days I had remaining." Which was his way of saying I was far too old for the position. So, I moved to live with my daughter, Elsharin. She served as a Seeker of Knowledge and Magisterial Ambassador to the Wizard's Sanctum in Stormwind.

Of course I did and not just for the Omnium either! I lost two brothers and my dear sister when the city fell. All three of them were Magisters... I tried to assist the young prince in reviving... awakening? It was so... cold. But no matter what we tried, it simply... refused. Even with his key-cipher, it did not respond. After it was sealed away, I tried to help the surviving Magisters restore the Terrace... but they insisted I rest. And so I did, for a good many years. Some... not so good. But alas, I have returned and young Rommath was in no mood to try to stop me. Un-retirement is precisely what I needed after all these years!

I'd refer you to the plaque there on the Omnium. It summarizes Dath'Remar's intentions quite nicely. But in short, his reasons were many, his ambitions bold, and his purpose as clear as the skies over Eversong. Dath'Remar saw much in his youth and he dared not shy away from the magical forces of our world.

An excellent question! Let's see... We have the Arcane Magicule, of course. Thousands of years of Highborne knowledge gave our fledgling people the resources to prosper in this new land. We have the fire and other elemental Magicules: the natural fundamentals of our very world. We have a curious collection of holy knowledge within the Light Magicule. The High Priests of Silvermoon did much to contribute to its knowledge. And, since everyone asks, there are the forbidden Magicules... Void. Fel. Necromancy... though I have to imagine that some of the restrictions on those may be... loosened. Veldharin's brow furrows in thought.

Ah, yes. The Fel Magicule. A forbidden node of knowledge, at least it was. Fel was one of the first magics Dath'Remar credits as his catalyst for creating the Omnium. He saw its potential... and its horror during the days of the Highborne. He saw the creatures from beyond that wielded fel magic. When the time came, he saw the destructive truth of both fel and arcane in those final days of the War of the Ancients. Never again would he allow his people to be blindsided by such a destructive, unknown force. Over time, knowledge of fel and the Burning Legion was shared between the Magisters and the Council of Tirisfal. But beyond a select few, the Fel Magicule was forbidden to study. Oh, how times would change...

Narrows his glassy eyes. An... appropriate question, I suppose. It is--was--a fiercely forbidden node of knowledge, as decreed by Dath'Remar. When we first set upon the shores of Tirisfal, our ancestors encountered a darkness that clung to this land. The whispers drove many insane, feeding upon our paranoia, instigating fear and jealousy among our tired kin. Dath'Remar sought to understand where this magic came from and so he sent out the first of the Seekers. Few know what they found or encountered, but it was enough for Dath'Remar to stop its study. Only the most trusted and accomplished Magisters were permitted to plumb the knowledge within the Void Magicule.

The Illidari are prepared to serve.

Welcome to the Bank of Stormwind. We offer financial accounts and safety deposit boxes for valuable items. Do you already have an account with us sir?

And the Lightveil stand at the ready. Our landing zone might be hot when we arrive in our enemies' territory, but my soldiers will be prepared.

Hal'hadar? How do you know that name? She takes the battery from you to examine it, holding it carefully as if not wanting to drop it. I do not know much about them. Even when I was a member of the Shadowguard, I rarely encountered them. The only Shadowguard who did were those with high enough clearance called in as security for their operations. All I know is that they were Sal'hadaar's research division. Where in the cosmos did you find this?

Leylines? They must be looking for a fuel source of some kind... As for the battery itself--do you see these argunite crystals inside the chassis and how they connect into this mainframe? There is no mistaking Lightforged technology. Weaving ethereal technomancy into other technologies is exactly what the Hal'hadar do. Perhaps one of the Lightforged draenei can tell you more about this. The ren'dorei mentioned that a few of them were stationed in the elven city of Silvermoon.

Fascinating... I have never seen such an overlay of technology like this. This is no amateur work--whoever interlaced these together was both a skilled technomancer and quite familiar with Lightforged technology. There also appears to be a fine coating on the inner chassis... some sort of arcane conductor? It almost looks organic--spore-like even but...arcane charged? How curious...

You have discerning eye. I can tell. Help me pick sculpture subject? Might need more wax. But BE WARNED! Wax art is temporary. No refunds when it melts.

You wish to learn candlecraft? Fill up cauldron with wax. Can't teach without wax.

Hmm, let me check ledger. In candle workshops, this town has made... 0 candles! Needs more. If you want expert opinion.

Well and well and well, my friends! Big pot full and wax is hot. Is time to begin. Ready to learn?

I can scarcely believe you're gone. They asked me to write something for you, to honor the sacrifice you made. I... cannot think of what to say. Not out loud. Not for them, emblazoned upon a larger than life statue for all to see. Dearest sister, your heart always belonged out there, did it not? How am I supposed to go on without you, Alleria? How am I to lead them, when all I see in their eyes is the grief we all share at losing you?
